Silverback (P21)
{NOTE: This box was conceived and execute by Lock Wench. She also carved the stamp. I simply had the honor of placing it in Santa Clara County}
I've met quite a few silverbacks since I started letterboxing. Some friendlier than others! Here is a tribute box to them and their accumulated wisdom....
Take Dinosaur Point Rd off of Hwy 152 in Santa Clara County. Don't miss the turn off as its more than a mile before the next turnaround (in either direction). Follow the road all the way to the end. When you reach the boat launch parking area you can park.
There is a trail at the Western end of the lot (farthest from the water) currently next to the port-a-potties.
Follow this trail a short way until you come to a burned out trunk leaning against a flourishing tree. The ape is hiding below some loose bark and large stones at the base of the fallen tree.
